I found the bug 2 southeast of that room. Hmmm. Maybe it moves around a bit more than we thought? Or has more than one 'appearance' location for every village/area its in.

WARNING! If you have any pets from the Sto Lat pet shop, they will attack the bug on sight! :o

Do you wait to see the room text, then just "search" (by itself), the bug appears as an NPC in the room, and you abuse the bug (and it vanishes/respawns in a new random Ramtops location)?

I saw the room chats with an ad.pe bonus of around 220 - I'm pretty sure it appears as an NPC when you search it out, then runs off when you abuse it. It's been a while since I saw it, though.

I mean it would be interesting if people could add where and when they found it (when meaning time of day and how long ago etc).

Maybe if we listed all the places the quest solutions place said it could be and matched it to people who found it there via room and time of day, it might create a pattern or at the very least, narrow it down for repeat findings.

I find this quest to be utterly annoying because it's not just something you can do and the thing never seems to be in the same place.

I'm pretty sure time of day is irrelevant. From what I understand, the bug appears in some place after a reboot, and remains there until someone finds it or there's another reboot. If you search every location you will find it.

I'd suggest just hitting a few rooms (say the 3 in the Temple of Listening Monks) every reboot. A lot less effort, and eventually you'll strike lucky with 6 of them.
