I tried the bushwacker quest in the maze and I got very very lost. Did they change the directions or am I just doing it wrong? Help!

the best way to navigate the maze is to drop something that will help you determine your next direction. since i am a wizard, i used the thaumic funnel spell and created a funnel. i then wrote on it with the wizard writing spell and dropped it. i did this for every room of the maze, making a map for it along the way.

The maze was changed in the Aug 3rd update. As far as I can tell the quest was removed as the gate was removed but I haven't been in the maze since Aug just after the changes. I think the map on homepage.ntlworld.com/guiderjo/DISC007.HTM is correct, at least it was when I used it.

I recently did it, maybe a month ago -- roughly mid-march...its still in there (though it took a while to find it)...

I tried to do this quest today, I got the map from the link provided and I can't find anything to trigger the quest. I have been to every room. Any help, suggestions?

definitely pull up the map on the site that was mentioned in this thread, and you need to 'climb gate' until you find the correct room.
hope this helps, and if you already completed it, then congrats!

I couldn't find a gate last time I went, I thought the quest must be removed

AhHA!!! yep.. tried that and i got out of the maze after about the 4th room, so maybe its a random thing how long it takes you to get out.

the named map did not work for me. i dropped an amount of coins in each room to find the exit finally. i dont have a map, but i got the directions and i checked it with 2 different chars lately. If you're in the last room theres a sign which you will see, so no need to climb in each room.
directions from the first room "In the maze [w].": se, ne, s, nw, ne, se, n, w, w, w, se, w, climb gate

I got to the entrance of the maze but when I enter I only see one exit (the one i came in through). Is there some skill I need to see the other exits or should I maybe search for something?

Not all exits are obvious.
In the maze few are visible, that is part of what made it challenging to explore.
When exploring, be sure to try to look in each direction. You never know what hidden exits you might find. Also, if the room description mentions a stall or cottage or tent or somesuch, it is a good idea to try to enter.
