I need to find goat skins but havent a clue where to find them. Maybe ramtops?

I can think of at least 2 goats in the Ramtops. Granny has one and there is one in Razorback for sure.

Rather strange I'm having a problem with the dead goats now. I thought of the same two places: the cheesy quest goat, and Granny has three right outside her cottage.
However after killing them I can't seem to get their skins. I am most definitly holding a cutting instrument (dagger) and I can get any other body part. However I cannot get their skin/coat/hide/pelt/etc, I'm not sure what else to try in the syntax. Maybe it's just a goat thing... I had no trouble with a few other animals I tested on.

Wow! skins are HEAVY!
Can we deliver them one at a time, or does it have to be all five at once?
Also, will this one continue through a reboot, or does it all have to be done at once?

You can deliver them one at a time.
It does carry over through weboots.
If your skills increase enough between bringing skins, he will ask you for a different type of skin to get.

I definitely recommend doing this quest before you advance primaries. If you do it with very low skills, he'll ask for 5 rat skins, which is considerably easier and quicker than the 5 crocodile skins my main char was asked for. ;D

I spotted mountain goats recently - go to the ramtops and between leaving the ramtops and heading westish towards the first town walk off the path a little and there should be some around there - I'd say roughly halfway between the giants and the first town (Brass Neck?)

a gaot is also penned up under the pile of trash in BP on ming lane, also found in granny's shed, the syntax is 'get hide from corpse'.

With very low guild level (less than 5 or 10?) he wanted rat skins. A bit higher was cat, then dog. I think goat comes after dog. Do this quest early and don't advance in the middle of it!
