I think we should make a list of people we can find for the Doppelganger Quest.

( Note on the one above, you have to say "Presto". "Preston" doesn't work )
Que --------- Euq ----- And they say I'm mad. They know nothing, do they?
Rue --------- Eur --- She sounds nice, perhaps I could live with her.
Shrike ------- Eki Rhs --- I have never heard of such a person. Never.

It's Presto, not Preston. Little tricky.

And yes, it still works.

There is an npc called Preston though, and one called Notserp, I'll have to try it out on those and see if i get a reaction.

The Cre is called Presto, and there is a player called Otserp

I could never get it to work but I didn't know if you had to do it all in one go or if you could log out between meetings.

Anyone know ?

Whenever I see an npc I know is a Doppelganger, I just say the name and it responds, but I've been limited to only ever seeing about 10-15 out of that whole list. Maybe you have to get more or all for it. I reckon you should be able to log out in between, otherwise it would make it a bit too impossible to find them all.

I agree but why, after about three years RL have I not got it?

No idea. I got it pretty quickly with a new alt - in fact, a whole lot quicker then I thought I would get it. At the same time, I thought I'd never get Hearts Tendered, and all of a sudden I did.

I think I might get me some scrying spells with my wizzie and hunt them all down, and see if it works. If it does, I'll give details

On the Hearts front, I used 254 to get it.

To make things a bit easier for everyone:

I got this quest a few days ago, and I didn't bump into Ilik once. So apparently he isn't part of the quest

Nope His name is Ilik Tanikalot. I like to nick a lot. Thief. Get it? He's just some NPC they put in to be a pain in the butt

Ilik is a dopple for Kili, an old creator who isn't around any more.

From what I've been able to figure you don't need to get all the dopples to get the quest, just a certain number of them.

Last time I tried, most of the dopples weren't scryable.
