It never closed.
It is still on Cockbill Street where it has been for years.

Not sure if this post was on fixing the wheel or helping the traveling potter, but the traveling potter is back. So far I'm not (quite) good enough at each of the steps, but I'm getting there.

Yes. It's a ridiculously frustrating quest, getting all of the plates and bowls made. So far I have around 40 levels in all needed skills and still fail to the point where I've never successfully made a bowl, excepting one. That one I picked up immediately and dropped it because it was too hot. It broke...

I did it with levels around 27, bonus around 135.
That was some time ago and I had to make about three times the number I needed.

i don't have any of those bonuses above 130 and I managed it pretty easily. The only skill I advanced a bit more was firing, about 150 bonus

I'm having problems giving the plates and bowls to the Travelling Potter. Basically he isn't accepting them and keeps going on about 'Sorry I'm only looking for plates and bowls' along those lines.
What specifically plates and bowls needed to be made? I know its Cochineal glaze, but any staining? and any specific quality made plates and bowls? As now they give more description like:
Hideous Malformed Lopsided Rustic Plain Pleasant Fine
So its now like A fine cochineal plate

It's enough to drive me to drink. I was there with my wonderful dish just about finished in this pregnant dog of a quest when...
...the mud crashes. Again.

I'm guessing it is now Beer o' Clock!Modified due to beer!

Well, with about 150 shaping bonus I cannot do any bowls and the best ever plate was "plain", most way worse.
Those changes make it like impossible to do unless you invest hundreds of thousand exps.
Perhaps someone with the right skills can make the bowls and plates and hand them over to you? Since they are no longer signed?

I spent several million xp self-teaching to get this to work, about 200 bonus shaping, 175 throwing, 175 glazing, 150 staining and 250 firing. And the first time I managed to get some right ones fired I forgot to use the d**n tongs and they were too hot and I dropped them. Took me ages to get it right. Fortunately, the potter was right outside the shop while I was doing it so I didn't have to go find him

Perhaps it would make sense to illustrate the steps of making the right pottery, since things got a lot more difficult?
As far as I know you first buy some clay from the shop in the northern part. Then you "throw clay onto wheel" and unhold any weapons, since you need 2 free hands.
Then "mould clay into <bowl, plate, hollow ball, vase> on wheel", this will take some time.
After this, get the moulded item from the wheel and get and hold the brush. You then "glaze plate with cochineal glaze" and let the colour dry.
Then you put several items in the kiln, after this, I have no clue if you just "check items in kiln" until is says it is done, or just look at the items until the pink goo turned into cochineal glaze.
As for the quality of the item, no clue as well. Anyone who got this working, more information would be good, since I consider it serious waste of exps now, so perhaps someone else shares my thoughts about finding out the minimal requirements.
