New quest in AM, located on Endless St.
Walleyed, in which you freed a mason.
You will need: A chisel, a crowbar, and a measuring tape
Skills: ot.pe bonus 150+, ot.culture.ankh-morporkian 101+
Quest starts in the room NW,W,W,NW,W from the Limping Gate
The room description reads:
An incessant and out of tune violin wails plaintively from
somewhere in a nearby building, the depressing sound filling the ears
of the passers-by and causing them to speed up so they can get away
more quickly. Even the city wall seems affected: what remains of it
ends here as if it wanted to escape from the sound.
Quite a few people, some in small groups, walk, trot and lurch
aimlessly towards other parts of the city.
"search wall" will turn up a piece of paper (if it hasn't been searched recently) that reads:
Six feet high the wall, and two may walk abreast,
I'm only six foot tall, so there I'll lay to rest.
Release the stone I lie behind,
And you may keep what you can find!
With a measuring tape you can start to "measure wall" to try and find the right stone, or you can skip on down to the room NW,NW,W,NW from the Onion Gate. In this room "measure wall" will reveal and odd stone (provided you have enough ot.pe), held in with crumbling mortar. The mortar can be "chip mortar" with a chisel, if you have a high enough culture bonus. With the mortar gone you can "lever block" with your crowbar. It takes a few tries, but eventually the block comes out.
Your reward: 4 quest points, and a wooden lunchbox (complete with fossilized salad).
