Has anyone completed this quest recently and is able to provide insight into how to complete it? I seem to be messing up somewhere.

This Quest was bugged, every time you left the room it would reset, and the guy had a tendency of demanding blue acid even after he' asked for a differnet colour, but it's now fixed. ;D

You need to attach the corpse of a rat to the harness and then attach a lemon to the dish. Pour the correctly coloured acid into the dish and flick the switch. The rat will twitch etc and he'll tell you what colour acid you need to next until he can't remember what acid is next and you have to experiment to find out(took me 2 acids after that to find the right one). To find acids you search the shelves in the same room(watch out for the cockroaches as they cause you to lose int stat).

I'm having trouble with certain acids turning the rat into a giant rabid rat-dog, which more often than not kills Bradley. I'm going to assume that they count as failures. Low levels be warned...

weird, I seem to remember that when I made a rat-dog it followed me around and attacked npcs I attacked, like a priests dust devil. I was disappointed that it disappeared when I logged out

Yeah, me too. I even tried the same acid to re-create the rat-dog, but alas, I was foiled.
One hint though, when you're doing the various acids that Bradley tells you to use, write them down.. for later when you're asked to do a random acid.

WTF? What kind of a stupid quest is this? I've done the 8, and have used at least 4 more acids... No quest yet. What do I have to try? every colour?
Lemons don't grow on trees, either...

I found 13 different coloured acids altogether, took me up until the very last one for the quest to complete.
I strongly advise spending some time getting 13 coloured acids before starting the quest. Note that the vials weigh less than the bottles so if while searching you get a duplicate acid colour in a vial instead of a bottle, replace the bottle! Also remember it's the colour of the acid that counts, NOT the colour of the bottle, so always look at the bottle/vial (vials need opening first, bottles don't) to check the actual acid colour!
