WHat district(and syntax) are the signs you can switch around in? I've never been able to remember this one.

Bad Poo Ning district, and I can confirm that this does yield a quest. When the MUD gets back online I'll post the title and 'in which' bitty. You get the syntax from either looking at or reading the signposts.

The title it gives is:
"Tour Guide", in which you opposed the forces of misdirection,

Go to one of the signposts in the district, either look or read them, and IIRC the description says something to the effect of being able to switch the hands. Try syntax switch, and the syntax is 'switch <direction> with <direction> on signpost'. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember from it. You also get a message letting you know when you've done that particular signpost correctly.
Not tricky at all - you just have to switch all signposts in the district - check out a map, and walk along every road. The signposts are mainly at 3 or 4 way junctions.

10 or less signs, I didn't quite count. Check homepage.ntlworld.com/guiderjo/Pics/maps/besp.giffor seeing the edge of Bad Poo-Ning district. Also, as a point of interest, I came across a sign that didn't need to be fixed, it was already pointing in all the right directions. The next sign I did got me the quest, so it seems you can do this with someone together?

Here's a point in the direction of finding the signs to work on: I've just did 'examine sign' and here is the out put from it:
"This is a tall wooden signpost. It has three signs on it pointing to the northeast, west and south. The signs appear to be quite loose around the main pole, and you could probably switch them around if you felt like it."
My written language isn't good enough to know which should be pointed where, so this one will have to wait until I've read some more sandwich boards ;p

you don't *really* need written to be able to do this properly. There are a maximum of 3 directions iirc. You only need to go through a few switches and you should get it. It tells you when you have them facing in the right directions, even if you can't read them

OK, here it is:
"Tour Guide", in which you opposed the forces of misdirection.
the syntax is: "switch <direction> with <direction> on sign". After finishing the final one, you'll see: You feel a surge of pride on fixing all of those signs - tourists and residents alike can now wander Bes Pelargic without fear of taking a wrong turn.
The locations of the signs are: Palace approach & Azure Promenade Long St. & Willow Tuna Walk, one East of where the T-shop lands. Serpentine Way & Cat's tail Serpentine Way @ it's south end. Azure promenade @ it's east end Ricecake alley @ it's northern end
I'm sorry that I wasn't running a log at the time, and I didn't copy the output that it shows when you complete each sign. It has something to the effect of: you feel a sense of accomplishment .... but you feel that there is more work to be done.
I think I did this one all on my own, as I moved in ever increasing circles to find them all. Hope this info can be useful in adding this quest to the web page.

I just noticed that this quest has been added to the pages, but to the wrong one. It's listed under Djelibeybi I thought something looked odd, when I saw "Bad Pooning district" listed under Djb.

I could switch all but 2 of the signs correctly. Those ones seemed to have already been pointing in the right directions, so it seems you might not be able to do it with another person, unless those ones are naturally correct?
Southern end of Serpentine Way North end of Ricecake Alley

Just try doing it again later. There was only one sign that already pointed the right directions for me, and I managed it. Maybe someone else started doing it and then stopped, so you weren't able to do enough to complete the quest
