While wandering around lost on the roads North of Djelibeybi I ran across the ruins of an ancient city. There are some archeologists wandering about, a couple tents and 71-hour Achmed. Looks like a quest starts here, too.

I saw someone with the quest title "Apprentice Archaeologist". The quest and the ruins are probably related.

Couple more details on this but no solution yet.
Get a shovel (kill an archeologist or bring one) and you can 'dig in sand with shovel' in the southern most room. all it does so far is release a spray of water that rapidly disappears - may be skill related?
In this same room you can look down into a dark cellar but cannot go down or climb down. There appears to be some skill check to this as various combinations give 'you scrabble about over the rubble but find nothing to climb over'. also in this room type 'arch' and you get the same message. You also get a message about if you were nimble enough you could squeeze through the arch. Squeeze is a soul command though. Not sure which skill is related to nimbleness.
The quest appears to be related to Al James in the first tent, who is looking for a small white piece of something. I am guessing its in the cellar I cannot get into but may not be. My Djelian is not fluent enough to get his whole message, but I assume its part of a pot? Say help you to him to start the quest.

Location is north of DJB, North of Al Kali then the road splits onto a peninsula se ish. There are three little roads off this and its the second one of the three that has the ruins at the end.

In case anybody hadn't worked it out yet: this is Tacticum, the ruined city from 'Jingo' where 71-hour Achmed was hiding.

'Climb arch' in the shelter with the hole got me to a subcellar and 'search floor' revealed a red pottery piece, but it was the wrong one. I have a feeling this is one of those search til you get the right piece quests like the one in the pyramid...

FULL SOLUTION
Go to the ruins just north of Al-Khali. Watch out for an NPC named 71-hour Achmed as he will backstab you and attack and he is VERY powerful.
Find the tent with Al-James in it and make sure you are speaking Djelian. Say 'help' and he will mention a type of pottery shard that he needs. In my case it was a thick red shard.
Find the other tent that has Al-George in it and south of that is a shelter with walls surrounding it. You should notice a hole if you check out the room descriptions.
Typing 'climb arch' will get you to a subcellar(I assume it has a skillcheck of some sort. Probably ot.mo.cl.ro). Once down there type 'search floor' until you get the piece that Al-James asked for.
It might take multiple tries as you get a random piece with each search. I was lucky and got it second try. Return the shard to Al-James and you'll get the quest.

Additional note: You also get 5 talents from Al-James upon completion of this quest.

There appears to be absolutely nothing north of Al Khali, but then again, I can't even find the three roads. From the city itself, there's a road from the base heading away east towards Seriph's Wharf, a road from the base heading away west, and a road from the base heading across the bridge and then south. Which one roughly are we looking at?
