how exactly is this meant to work? i got someone to summon a salt mephit for me, used the iron amulet on it, and it just says something like "oh no, please don't do that", and just stays there. I can do it loads of times but nothing changes.

Is this quest broken then, or removed? THe same thing happened with 2 of the other mephits my friend summoned for me

also, once the mephit comes in the command "banish" becomes available,

syntax banish give me

Forms of syntax available for the command 'banish':
banish mephit

I type "banish mephit"

> banish mephit

The salt mephit exclaims: Aaaiiee!
The salt mephit asks: Don't do that, please?

you may need to do the master of ceremonies quest in AM first. just a thought, it makes it so you can banish more powerful demons

You mean just before doing this quest? I've done the Masters of Ceremonies quest before...

nm it doesn't work i tried it out. it is either gone or buggered

i think that for this quest you need some magic banishing levels, i keep failing too but i am too lazy to advance magic - just a thought

This is interesting. Firstly how do you summon a salt mephit?

You have to goto merks place in Djb, on Phoenix road, east of the bazaar, northern side of the road. You need to get someone else to summon the mephit for you, they go inside, and "summon salt mephit for (blue beetle)". It costs 5 talents(A$25). There is a board/list inside which you can read to see all the mephits available, but it's definitely the salt one you want ordered for yourself. It should then appear in the room with you shortly afterwards, and you will need some basic banishing levels and that iron amulet to get rid of it. 25 levels I think did it for me. Syntax is (if i remember correctly) "use".
