In the bandit camp, a bug hides in the same room with the net trap. It was in the morning, but I did not check for the exact time. |

In the bandit camp, a bug hides in the same room with the net trap. I found the bug 2 southeast of that room. Hmmm. Maybe it moves around a bit more than we thought? Or has more than one 'appearance' location for every village/area its in. |

Does anybody know if there's a time delay between when you can find this bug? I got him twice at the net trap at the BC in immediate succession... but scouring everywhere suggested since has given me nothing...

There's more places, if you look the official site... Temples, specially. Soyin, Cool and I don't remember if Listening Monks...
Anyoune found them there?

I found 2 bugs in succession in Creel Springs (ne, n, e of carriage stop) at 1.15pm. WARNING! If you have any pets from the Sto Lat pet shop, they will attack the bug on sight!  |

by the way, how does the message appear? Do you have to wait a while in the rooms, or does it appear almost in the instant you enter it?

Woul greatly appreciate more information. Messages, time it takes for them to appear, and the places the bug appears in Soyin and Monks...

Been trying this one to no avail. How long do you have to wait in a room to get messages? Do the bugs re-spawn with any frequency? Do they move a lot in the said places?

I found it once in the orchard in Bad Ass and once at the carriage stop in Razorback.
No idea of times though I'm afraid.

Anyone know what ot.perception is needed, or what the room texts are when the bug is around?
Do you wait to see the room text, then just "search" (by itself), the bug appears as an NPC in the room, and you abuse the bug (and it vanishes/respawns in a new random Ramtops location)?

I saw the room chats with an ad.pe bonus of around 220 - I'm pretty sure it appears as an NPC when you search it out, then runs off when you abuse it. It's been a while since I saw it, though.

Is there anyway we can collate all this information into some kind of spreadsheet say?
I mean it would be interesting if people could add where and when they found it (when meaning time of day and how long ago etc).
Maybe if we listed all the places the quest solutions place said it could be and matched it to people who found it there via room and time of day, it might create a pattern or at the very least, narrow it down for repeat findings.
I find this quest to be utterly annoying because it's not just something you can do and the thing never seems to be in the same place.

I'm pretty sure time of day is irrelevant. From what I understand, the bug appears in some place after a reboot, and remains there until someone finds it or there's another reboot. If you search every location you will find it.
I'd suggest just hitting a few rooms (say the 3 in the Temple of Listening Monks) every reboot. A lot less effort, and eventually you'll strike lucky with 6 of them.

I really really hate this quest. Been hanging around the smithy in Creel Springs and outside the abandoned shop in Black Glass to no avail. At best, in Black Glass I get the room chats "Something scuttles near your foot." and "An insect crawls up a nearby wall. it doesn't look particularly interesting but it's the little things that catch your eye sometimes." which seem to happen in the early morning (7-8am) and early afternoon (12-2pm), but searching finds nothing.
