There is a chestnut tree you can climb in Bleak Prospects, but beat me if you can get any chestnuts out/off of it. Maybe it's the wrong season.

I spent a while on this, trying to 'search trees', 'search path' and so on. It's actually stupidly simple, just 'get chestnut'!

In the most northernmost part of the path to bleak prospekt, just "search" in the room with the chestnut tree.

'pierce chestnut with stiletto' worked for me.

Nah I found out what I did wrong. You can get chestnuts from Brass Neck, but you can also get ones from Bleak Prospekt. The ones from Bleak Prospekt are called 'chestnuts' though and don't work for the quest, while the ones from Brass Neck are called 'horse chestnuts'. (mystery solved  |

The chestnut from the Bleak Prospect tree didn't work for me. Go to the northernmost room of Brass Neck (where you can go sw and journey ne) and search leaves/get chestnut. You get a 'ripe horse chestnut', as opposed to a 'chestnut' from Bleak Prospect.

Are you sure of the place, guys? It is autumn right now in the Disk. I've been to the mentioned room and 'search leaves' doesn't give any result. There's no chestnuts of any sort around...

If you are in the right room, 'get chestnut' should work.

Well. I still am not getting any result. Is the right room the one Fido mentioned (last of Brass Neck, sw, journey ne)?. I am there now, and there are no chestnuts to be got... Maybe there's some bug (autumn has just began, and the room hasn't readjusted yet to producing chestnuts?). If you have a second, take a look yourselves and you'll see what I mean...
Incidentally, no chestnut was seen, but what did appear in the leaves after various searchings is a 'magic talisman' (a small, round stone with an irregular hole in the middle).

That's definitely where I got one from, but I haven't been able to find one since. Maybe it just takes a long time to regenerate, and people are swiping them before we get there.
