Does anyone know if i need just any blue thread to mend to shoes? of does it have to be pale blue - been searching a while now without finding a pale blue one.

yeah i think i needed pale blue aswell. it has to be the exact colour if i remember correctly. you could always try again. i know i must have got it wrong at least once. or when i tried to do it with just blue it said i can't or summin

If you mend it with the wrong thread, the shoes will say they look shoddy with mistmatched colours. However as soon as you give it to the disciple he will just rip out the wrong threads, so you can do it again no problem.

a friend of mine just did this quest she needed pale blue aswell but it worked with one that was just normal blue

OK, I have overshoes, correct thread, and a needle.

But I cannot figure out what command I need to actually do the repair.

Or do I have to be in a special place?

Hold the needle, thread needle with thread, sew shoes with needle

Make sure you have the right kind of needle. I think it is a 'thin' needle, not the thick kind you use for leatherwork.

You can find a needle in a pincushion near the basket full of thread iirc...

Does anyone know what skill is needed to do this mending?

After I FINALLY got the right colour thread and correct needle (i think) the thread broke when I attempted the repair.
