Go upstairs and look at the bookcase and books. Pull book puts you in a room with Uncle Funster and he's got notes on what you need to do, but it sounds VERY complicated.
You need a voodoo rattle stick, coffin nails, a bleached skull, prayer beads, a book, a bell, and a candle...meh...The book, bell, and candle I recognise from the exorcism book in the haunted mansion in AM. I recall bells being hell to find...

Hmm... got all the stuff, talked to Uncle Funster about ghosts. As far as I can tell: Each ghost has two weaknesses, which you have to exorcise it with. It also has two items it reacts positively to, and using them to exorcise it will summon another (or just different?) ghost, with a link in either its weaknesses or strengths. Now I just havta find the ghost.  Where is it? |

Maybe witches and wizards can see the ghost?
I had to wait for some ghostly haunting to occur in the room then quickly act to exorcise it before it moved to another room.

Just buy them somewhere.
Book - The bookshop near Tarnach's, the gen store in Bad Ass
Candle - Misc stalls in Genua, DJB, Sto Lat, etc.

It seems that any book and any candle will work. There are books and candles sold in some of the shops in Diamond City. Sometimes the ghost stayed in the room long enough for a second attempt at exorcising it. Sometimes it moved on. Sometimes it stayed and did another haunting. Very random. If anyone gets this one I am curious to know how long it took you. It seems like it is taking forever!  |

yay i did the stupidest, most random quest ever you cant actually see the ghost, just stay in a room and something random will happen like the suit of armour in the hall will move, the stuffed bat in the dining room might turn its head towards you, also in the bedroom with the blocks in it the ghost may throw a block at you and you will take damage andin the other bedroom the mirror will smash and reform also damaging you. if you exorcise the ghost with 2 random items he'll laugh if they are the wrong ones and it will say another ghost has appeared but you only actually have to get it right once to get the quest, you dont have to exorcise the ghost you created, its obviously random each time but i used the beads and something else (cant remember) it says: > There is a scream, and then all is silent... You feel fulfilled from the experience, as if you have grown as a person. which must be why you get 50k xp for the quest  |
