Did the quest on the second try. I failed the first time, because the Big Bad Wolf is fairly tough. (I have 300+ bonuses in dodge/dagger, and it still caused me to wimpy.)
Suggestion - as soon as you tell granny to hide, set yourself for ambush.
Also, don't do the quest at night. The Woodcutter's Guild is closed.

Every time I kill the wolf she comes downstairs and says nothing. What is supposed to happen next? I've tried talking to her about firewood or anything but she doesn't respond. Also going to the Woodcutter's guild and talking to Pascal he doesn't respond much either.
If I go outside and knock again it just seems to restart and I kill the wolf again.

A bug perhaps, you could try asking a liaison. Are you sure you lay in the bed properly and all and when you killed it she came down etc?

You don't lie down in the bed for Heroic Fairy, that is Lupine Connoisseur.
Hmmm...
It worked for me.
But I couldn't do some of the other quests in Bois without waiting for a while between them.

You have to lie down in the bed and pretend to be grandma, iirc. I haven't done it in ages.

Lupine Connoisseur is the quest you lie down in the bed and pretend to be grandma.
It is different from Heroic Fairy where you tell grandma you are a fairy.

is it possible to do this/honorable little pig if you've done lupine connesieur before? Because every time I go to Granny or the 3 pigs they are scared of me.

As much as I'd like to believe that you can do every quest no matter what, I don't think you can unless you do these in the right order.
I did the evil ones first and thereafter I could never do the good ones (even if I only partly did the evil ones). I've refreshed since then, and I'm going to do the good ones first.

I had the same problem.
Not sure exactly how long you have to wait until they forget.
I left Bois and didn't make it back until about 9 months later and didn't have a problem with it.

I have the same problem: it all goes well, but after killing the wolf, grandma comes down and says nothing. I'm getting very irritated with this ungrateful old biddy.

It does take -forever- for them to forget that they hate you. Definitely a recommendation to anyone who does the Bois quests to do the good quests first.

Well, depends on your definition of forever... I stopped playing the game for less than 6 months. When I returned, I was able to do 1 of the good pig quests (done all the bad ones before leaving). This one I couldn't do yet 'coz the wolf is a real tough bugger...

Aha! Finally did it. For the first time I was able to do the whole fight without recasting my magical shields. It must have been leaving the room to put them back up that stopped me getting the quest before.
