It has something to do with reading the heirogyphs in the pyramids. It requires some levels of other.culture.djelian to do successfully though.

you need some ot.la.dj.sp and some ot.cu.dj my bonus is just other 100 at level 25, i had 7 in speaking you go west of ihanna or whatever his name is, and look hieroglyphics you will either get "regdab citsym" or "tabmow yrruc" which are mystic badger and curry wombat spelt backwards, look at the hieroglyphics determine what it is and "chant regdab citsym" or "chant regdab citsym" a door should open and a scarab should land in you inventory, you can wear it, thats the quest done, the room to the w has a trap on the door of the north exit.

Worked for me first time, and I didn't have 90 Djelian spoken, but I did have max 25 levels of culture. It probably only requires 60 or above in spoken, as that is what you need to speak to NPCs of the language, I believe I was 70'ish when I did it though.
I've never seen the "regdab citsym" or "tabmow yrruc" hieroglyphics though. Mine are always some other weird phrase, as you sometimes need to chant to open it again later, but has always worked for me.

I had a whole lot crappier Djelian than 60 Are you speaking djelian? I've made that mistake plenty of times on quests. Not speaking the right language.

Hopefully some of the skillcheck changes have fixed this, but this one has a huge random factor to it.
I had fluent djelian and in the 150s on culture bonus. Got through on the first try - however, for me finding the statue was devilishly long, so there were plenty of subsequent attempts.
More than half of them failed. And to head off one route of inquiry, the scarab doesn't help. I'd been amused by it and had been wearing it during that time.
I'm beginning to wonder if the skill check is lower for the first quest than for later re-openings.

I made a native djelian alt and just tried different levels of culture, the check does seem to be somewhere between 130 and 150

As 'guest' above, my bonus is just over 100 and I had no problems. My spoken is maxed though.

Your guild will teach most (all?) other skills up to level 25. After that you need to learn from other players or teach yourself.
AFAIK, with the possible exception of the language skills (that max at 100 and can only be tm'd), there is no maximum skill level (unless it's a word level limit 65k due to internal storage?). Obviously it gets extremely/impossibly expensive the higher you go.

100 lvls in Djelian, 104 bonus with Ot.Cu.Dj and it won't work. It certainly does have a high random factor When I chant, I just get the message Nothing seems to happen.
