Do you need to 'probe' the lock first ? You only set a trap off when you try to pick a lock. If it flames when you walk through its not a trap as such. I have in the back of my mind that crawling past the grate will save a lot of HP or even get you past it unharmed but I may be dreaming

Well do you have the skills needed to disable the trap? Just asking, not accusing.

Any idea which skill levels are needed for the traps? I could get the first 2 after a few tries at bonus around 180 or possibly a little less in both co.lo.tr and co.it.tr

To disarm the fire thing you have to "disarm trap" if I remember correctly. I have over 200 in co.lo.tr and co.it.tr and I can disable the fire one upstairs and the blade one downstairs, I can't manage the gas one though. I guess I need more. You dont need any lockpicking for the mansion stuff at all really... I thinnk, unless you don't bother getting the keys.

disarm (direction) also works in most cases, bonus of about 230-250 should guarantee success

I've gotten my co.lo.tr to 273, still no dice on the last trap. I'll try a few more times before I throw a few more million xp into it though. Maybe there's something else to be done or advanced?
