That splatter won't let me in, he says I'm not famous enough, I have to do "famous deeds".
I've done everything that says on the quest-thingie, hair, nails, clothes, mentioning Thom Crooze etc, but he won't let me in....please help me.

Goto the apex club, to the hall of heroes, and find your plaque/statue. How famous does it say you are?

It says I'm unknown...how do I get famous, or "renowned"?

More quests, as far as I know. Since when you check that list it lists the quests you've done.

There are three things that figure into your overall rating which determines fame. Increase these to gain more fame.

Is it skills or gl? (ie that which appears in your 'score' )

What determines your guild level? Certain skills perhaps?
The help file for rating mentions bonuses which are based on skills and stats.
"Rating reflects a player's prowess and is calculated in mysterious ways, taking into account bonuses, ability to solve quests and age, among other things."
