I need to get some nitrate for scrooge, and the only way seems to be the nitrolator, but i don't know where to get batsup or bat guano...

You can get bat guano from witches bats, they poop now and again, you can just pick it up off the ground.

Is sulphuric acid difficult to find? searched the shelves a nuts ton and still haven't turned any up

sulphuric acid is one of the coloured acids you get from searching the shelves. To find out what colour you need, you have to research in the library to get bits of paper, eventually you'll get one telling you what colour sulphuric acid is.

Lime cordial, but I haven't gotten anything that looks like that. Turned in everything I've recovered so far from searching (barring a few cockroaches):

I think you're looking in the wrong room. It sounds like you want lime acid which can be found by searching the shelf in the room with Bradley Weiss (?) - the room where you do the cadaver corroder quest.

No, that's the room he's been searching in. You're thinking of Bradley's closet upstairs ... southwest corner of the top floor. That's where you get the unusual ones.

You can get gold coins (i.e., provincial currency) from the money changer on Ankh Bridge in AM

Gold Coins - are no longer in the game
BUT - Agatean Rhinu are (as noted in The Books) are made of real gold.
(Morporkian 'golden coins' have about the same gold content as seawater)
You can buy Agatean Rhinu at the money changers on Bookkeepers.
This has been confirmed to work as of 6/5/2011.
