There seem to be several types of missions: spy hunting missions where you must find an npc going from one spot to another in bp and kill them drowning missions where you must take an npc from your family mission man and drown them haiku missions where you need a tin of paint and a brush and you must find a certain room in an enemy estate and 'compose' a haiku. this seems to use calligraphy and agatean culture. investigation missions where you must investigate a room and report your findings by returning the chit. this seems to use perception. plan changing missions where you must go to an enemy war room and change the plans there. this uses agatean written and perhaps direction. trophy hunting missions where you must search out a certain item in an enemy estate and return it to your library and deposit it. pet capture missions where you must find an enemy family's mascot and capture it in a cage and deposit said cage in your library. this uses trapping. also, there seem to be guild unique missions, such as the exorcism mission that priests get. there may be others but those are the ones that i remember getting so far. all skills needed are between 150-200 bonuses.

Go to the mission room and type "help here".

I'm in the Fang Family, and I got a quest that said this;
One of our nobles has been struck by a strange affliction. We believe he may have been poisoned. The symptoms of the illness are fever, visions and eye twitching. Many an illness can be countered using ingredients found in a local market. We need you to research each of these symptoms in the library and discover how each can be cured. Using the ingredients specified, concoct a broth to chase away the maladies. Deposit the potion here when completed.
However, in the library, there is only one book that is readable, and it is a Fang history book. How can I complete this quest? I've tried "research"ing in the library, but it isn't a verb.

The family mission verbs are tied to the chit. Make sure it's in your inventory (not in a container) when you try to 'research' in the library.

Is there a way to examine the chit and be given a clue of what verbs are linked to it? I'm not sure of which verb I need for the trophy hunter.

Dang. I just said "It was a failure". I spent about an hour brewing a poison antidote for the first time. It just said something about it not being a potion...

Isn't this in the wrong folder? Missions take place in BP, in the Counterweight Continent...

What I mean is, they aren't strictly 'quests'. They should be in the 'almost quest' folder...

How are you supposed to drown a npc? I went to the water room, but always when he was close to drawning he swimmed up. Do I need to use any command on the npc when he's underwater? Or do I just lack any skill?

The easiest way is to give the npc something heavy so it can't swim up when you're underwater. To speed up the process you can always give stuff to the npc, each time you do it will try to talk.
