Can anyone tell my how you get from AM to Genua, I haven't been able to find a SUR map showing this.

You haven't been able to find a map because there isn't an overland way to get to Genua yet.
You can take a boat between Bois to Diamond City.
You can take the t-shop to Bois or Diamond City.
You can wander through L-space and hope to find a gap leading to the Diamond City library.
You can ask a wizard for a portal to Genua. Or ask a priest for a divine hand to Genua.
