Does anyone here do it, log on with more than one charactures at the same time, I saw a suspicious group the other week, they all had the same project and plan information, all exactly the same, with the same spelling mistakes, and all. All loged on at nearly the same time, there finger information stated they were from all over the world, from some countries where english as not the first language. checking ip address is no use as you can get a fake ip program to change that.

i doubt many people go to the bother of that kind of multiplaying...everyone will have broken one rule or another-like helping the friend of an alt:but nothing too serious =P

You can't really MP now as what ever client you use is logged, so say for example you have your Warrior Alt on and you try to log in as your Wizard, you'll get a message telling you that your computer is already logged in. I believe that some folk at college log in at times and hang out in groups. There are sometimes problems with logging in on a home network too. Be interesting to know though.

just been reading through all the posts here, i saw a group of 6 people the other day, all with short names, all almost exactly same age, all logged in at same time, all had same finger info. Hit me if this is not multiplaying, but how?

Maybe a home network? college? Knew of a group of players that went to college together and used to log in. Shows what their folks were paying for doesn't it Wow, that's maybe fove years ago, thinking about it. I MP a lot myself anyway, have two alts that hang out and it's great for exp. Worked it out the other day.

I'm assuming the mud records a lot more than just IP addresses.
It would be so easy to log the serial number of a client used or the pc it's self.
You can get proper permission for home networks, but i'm told that you are very closely monitored.

Home networks are a pain... Me and my brother play sometimes, and it's a real hassle. It expires, or we change IP, or sometimes it only works if one of us logs in first and then the other, or some alts don't work... And if there isn't a liaison on, we're SOL

I can't see the point of multiplaying, Chances are your going to get caught and given a d**n harsh spanking.
