The MUD's been down all day (02 Oct 2004), and I've been trying since 9am...10 and a half hours ago! Even the webpage is down.
Anyone else having the same problems there?

Try using the IP instead of the DNS. 216.254.34.56 No good here. Tried and got the message Error: Can't find web site discworld.atuin.net.

Not sure what the problem is.
Can't access the website through any of my browsers.
However, I can connect to the mud with the IP using zmud.

Still no luck. Sorry to harp on about it. I've tried on Zmud, Savitar, and Rapscallion (I have PC and a Mac), and zit, nadda.
I'm going to get drunk.
Someone wake me up when the Disc is back.
By the way, are there people playing on the Disc at the moment?

Some players have experienced problems connecting to the MUD, with the discworld.atuin.net not resolving properly through DNS. It is still possible to connect to the MUD directly through its IP address, 216.254.34.56, or via the alternate DNS name of mud.lspace.org
We are not sure what is causing the outage at this time. Our engineers are working to identify and correct the cause of the error, to minimise impact on customer-facing systems while staff undergo compulsory news announcement and editor retraining.
