I recall this being asked before but I cannot find it. In the basilisk nest there is a weird plant. I thought there was some quest it was for. Any ideas?

About eight years ago I heard rumours of a quest where you made a bug repellant from a few different plants found around the desert. When you wore the repellant you could gain access to a part of the bug cave that was too infested to otherwise enter.
Never met anyone who had actually done the quest, though.

yea it used to be where the chimera was i think. you needed it for mind blower. dunno if you can still do either quest. iirc you collected some of these plants and mashed them up with a pestle and mortar.

Not exactly sure how you do the basilisk quest...Killed it in one on one combat. Nothing. Tried showing it a mirror. Nothing...Maybe a mirrored breastplate  |

I recall this quest ages back. Again I can't recall anyone who did it. The bug cave was taken out I believe. It was too buggy(no pun intended). I knew a guy who lost their corpse in it completely was impossible to remove from it. |
