You struggle slightly to hold......

How does one get better at this? Is it just advancing fighting.melee.heavy-sword, or is there something else I need to do?

It has more to do with your strength stat than your skill.

I had the same problem and my STR was 23

my str is 23 aswell, and i struggle slighty to hold some things. You sure thats not a different check, rather than str skill? I even dropped EVERYTHING except the weapon

Strength. Not burden. He's right. Some weapons cannot be held without struggling at any achievable strength stat in game. That wizard lightening spell is the only way that I know of :/

yes but...whats the point of having the weapon if its impossible to hold it properly. Mind you I haven't tried combining with str gaunts yet
