Fluffy Nightbringer (in which you slipped a flighty creature into darkness.) At the entrance to the mansion on Ibis Parade go southeast, east, east, south, west, south and "search bushes". You will dislodge a hood which falls onto the path. Get it, and go south, east, south west, west, up, west, up. There should be a hawk standing there. "hood hawk with hood" It needs a moderate bonus in covert.manipulation.sleight-of-hand. There, just thought you might want an updated description to put on the site I'm not sure if the hood is under a random bush in the garden or whether it is always under the one I wrote directions for above. I will try it again in a while and see.

I just did it, and the hood is right there on the eastern edge of the garden where those directions bring you.
However, there would appear to be some kind of skill check involved, as I got attacked by the hawk when I attempted to put the hood on. I'm thinking probably cr.husb.animal, maybe one of the subskills of that branch. Or else cr.hunt.trapping?
I'll give the little feathery bugger a chance to settle down, and try again later

I don't know if it requires co.ma.sl, but I do know it does not require crafts. I had 0 crafts skills when doing this quest.

On that note, it doesn't require ot.mo.swimming either, I had 0 in that when I did this. Only kidding

Around what level are we talking about? I got 132, and no positive reaction when I try (should be more then enough for a lvl 1 quest). In general, Djb quest piss off (HUGE requirements for very low levels...).

Well I remember advancing quite a lot of sleight-of-hand for the last Necropolis quest and I did this quest after it. My bonus was just over 200.

Hold a weapon that you have 0 bonus with, and bring a priest to calm the bugger(if that happens to you). And get dex gloves mebbe for more bonus.

Has anyone done this quest recently?
What skill level do you need?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was always under the impression that if you come in with a weapon, the hawk attacked you. If you're having a problem with the hawk attacking and getting killed, sheathe your weapons first?

It's definitel sleight-of-hand. 119 bonus wasn't enough, 179 worked first try. "wimp" tactics can help if you're worried about beating the bird to death.
