what do you have to say to get into the apex club? I've said tons of things, and he still won't let me in!

Depends on where you are and what you are trying to do. If you are trying to join, you have to have a rating of at least 10000 in your score info. Then you can go wherever you want to, except for some locked rooms. Well, not sure about the museum. Is access free if you are a member? Don't remember.
If it's the Courteous Visitor thing at the "Hall of Heroes" museum thingy, you have to say something along the lines of "May I please have a ticket Miss Turrel" or somesuch thing. And that's a one time deal.

As Mighty said, you have to have a score over 10000 to join the club. Forget the syntax but you have to ask Miss Turrel to join. (May be a room help file?)
Having joined, the only advantage is that you can get on the waiting list for a room. The room contains a wardrobe that you can store stuff in like a vault. (Unless they changed it the wardrobe is attached to your inventry and you could leave your compact in it.) You get a key to the room and only you and invited guests can get in, similar to a player house but more secure.
The room cost AM$7.50 per disworld month IIRC.

Nope.
They come furnished with a bed and a wardrobe.
