Hey, this is too do with the crossbow string quest, I know how to do it but it seems you need a skill to string the string on the crossbow or it will snap, ive tried everything, would anyone know what skill is required to string the crossbow? Thank!

The information I have suggests you need around 130 fi.co.ra.fi and over 100 cr.sm.bl.we.
Clearly the fighting requirement must have changed, if it was correct in the first place.

How does having done the quest tell you the skill needed? You tell me what skill is involved and I'll tell you what level I had. fi.co.ra.fi I had 131, cr.sm.bl.we I had 152. But I already told you what I thought the requirement was for them. Don't forget you can randomly fail a skill check even with twice the required skill.

Is this the quest with the reward in it of a single item or is that another watch house quest?

You don't need skills to string the crossbow. It isn't ready to be stringed.

Didn't exist when I did it. I can't see unarmed has any relivance. Someone above said no skill check is made anyway.

There is a skill check required. Haven't been able to pass it yet.

I think you need some fighting.range.fired to fire the crossbow at the end of the quest. Though I haven't completed this quest yet so I could be wrong.

this is the quest so far: look at the crossbow. note the make, mark and number. go to mr. stronginthearm's shop. buy a crossbow string. say the crossbow in the watchhouse needs repairing. he asks you for the make, mark and number. comply. go to gimlet's or somewhere and buy some bread to give to him. go to a bar, buy an alcoholic drink, give it to him. go to the crossbow. wait for him to come. he'll fix it. get it from the table and 'string crossbow with string'. then you have to load it. how do you load it? i have tried crossbow bolts but they dont work.

pull a bolt out of the dummy then load it with that bolt, if you miss the target on the first try then there are more bolts in the dummy that you can get, but I don't know if there's an unlimited amount
