The artist in Brass Neck wants you to mix up some paint for him.
Didn't have time to try it.

I tried this one today and didn't get far, but this is what I figured out so far. First you need some coloured rocks. The artist guy tells you where to find them. Use a small hammer to 'pulverise' the rocks into powder. You can 'mix' the powder into the mixing bowl. Not sure if you are supposed to make tempera or oil paint. The ingredients for both are available. Linseed oil is sold at one of the stalls in the village. Eggs are available from the nestbox in Chit Creek. Once the ingredients are in the bowl, I get stuck. I think you may need to find some of the tools shown on the table to blend the paint, but haven't been able to find any yet. 'syntax scoop' tells you how to get paint out of the mixing bowl. 'syntax clean' tells you how to clean the bowl between batches.

The artist is out of the game at the moment for some bug fixing.

Right,
I've figured out how to make paint. And how to blend the paints together to make certain shades:
Ingredients:
Water Linseed Oil Egg <colour> mineral powder (pulverise pebbles found locally)
Mix each item into the bowl and you automatically get a bottle full of the colour powder you added.
Once you have made your primaries then pour small amount into a seperate bottle (pour 1/4000 of <paintbottle> into <emptybottle> then mix that new bottle's contents into the bowl.
Keep trying to mix small amounts of each paint until you get the right shade. Once you work out how much of each colour you need, just make enough to fill a bottle and give it to Virgo.
Good fun this one.

Thanks! Did you break the egg into the bowl? Or break the egg into another container and then mix it in?

I broke it into the bowl!
I'm sure it would work both ways though.

I'm wondering the same thing - where exactly is the 'nestbox'?
also - Virgo Vango says: Mmm...and some of those lovely yellow stones that lie on the trail to Brass Neck.
Virgo Vango says: And Oi'm sure Oi saw some beautiful blue stones in Annie's garden. Those would make lovely paints
anybody know where Annie's Garden or where on 'the trail to brass neck' are?

I don't remember the locations now but you just stumble across the stones walking around, it's not hard to find them. I'm guessing the trail to Black Neck is the road to the rest of the Ramtops ? If you can't find Annie's then you haven't looked! (Why don't I read them before I click post ;D )

Eggs can also be found in Annie's pantry. Saves the long walk.
